The Sidewalk Café (Las Vegas)

Located in Bally’s Las Vegas casino, The Sidewalk Café is open for breakfast and lunch, but not dinner (which I was slightly bummed to discover when I went there … for dinner).
Yep, it was closed, so I had dinner at Tequila Bar & Grill, located right next to it. But that’s another tale to be told at another time.
But … I did go back the next morning for breakfast. It didn’t take me long to decide on what to have – I hadn’t had Eggs Benedict yet on my trip, so that’s what I ordered.

Their Eggs Benedict was pretty acceptable, but the whites a little runny. The Hollandaise was very smooth, buttery and creamy. The muffins were toasty, the ham was a bit thin but adequate. And the best part? It came out hot.
The accompanying hash browns were crunchy crispy on the outside and moistly tender on the inside, making the breakfast experience a good one.
I love it when a restaurant does things right, turning what used to be a semi-gourmet item into a very well-done everyday menu item.
The Sidewalk Café: Bally’s Las Vegas, 3645 Las Vegas Blvd., South. (702) 739-4111.
